This is something that "they" (whoever they are) will never tell you about weight loss.

It's a shame really, but what they don't want to tell you is that it is probably your own fault that you are overweight in the first place.

Very few people are overweight for any reason that they have no control over.

The sad fact is that you are overweight because you want to be!

It is not a conscious decision by the way; it is a complex mess of sub-consciousness that has built up over the years that makes you want to be overweight so you can blame all of your failures and problems on it.

Pull yourself together!

I know: that is the last thing you can do if you have "issues".

It's not a very helpful thing to say either, but it is what you have to do, but as a long-term goal.  It is not something you can do overnight.  It takes work and patience and perseverence.

So the first step is to stop blaming your big bones or the fact you have a sweet tooth.  Neither of them are real, they are just excuses.

Accept the fact that you have total responsibility and it is all your fault that you are overweight.

Now you have done that and accepted that you made yourself fat, it follows that you can make yourself thinner doesn't it?

Your body shape is an expression of what you feel inside, so you have to change the inside first.
